The new facility is expected to strengthen e4e's global delivery footprint and contribute to e4e's shore delivery philosophy and deliver out sourced business processes as services-on-tap. These are to be through mix of organic and inorganic growth, said President & CEO Somshankar Das. The inorganic growth plan would be dictated by the need to enhance breadth of service offerings and to gain greater penetration in the worldwide market, he added.
Chairmen K B Chandrasekhar said they would enhance rate of hiring overseas in order to bolster the sales and marketing efforts, adding e4e group was clocking revenue run rate of about US$100 million.
Inaugurating the facility, Union Commerce & IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran, said that the Centre was presently formulating Data Protection Laws to help the BPO and IT enabled services sector. Observing that BPOL and ITES were next big way of IT, he stressed the need to increase the skilled workforce in order to keep pace with the growing demand.
Besides exhorting companies to adopt innovative business models and organisation structures that allow for rapid growth, he opined that companies needed to increase the delivery of technology enabled services instead of relying on pure-play labour arbitrage.
