Most Process Driven Back Office Operations and many Front Office Processes such as those in the Insurance Industries, Financial Services Organizations, Telecommunications Companies and in the Health Care Industries are among the most automated of all processes. Companies in these industries have spent decades and tens or hundreds of millions of dollars on information technology. Yet despite such huge investments, the number of people in their numerous back office and front office operations keeps increasing. Why does this paradox occur?
Almost without exception, it is because computer systems have never been able to provide a fully automated solution to ever-changing business requirements. The original system likely fell short of its original objectives because requirements were not fully understood, or they changed during the development process. Since then, requirements have continued to change, driven by regulations, statutes, competition and evolving business conditions. As a result, the gap grows with time.
Until now, the easiest (and often the only) way to bridge the ever-widening gap between systems and business requirements has been to use people to do the work. We call these automation gaps. Within automation gaps, people perform a wide variety of complex, time-consuming tasks that actually add very little value to the service provided.
e4e has the technology and solutions to deal with all these issues which create these automation gaps. Our technology can manage missing data: knows what it needs, when it needs it, how to get it, and how to wait for it to arrive. Our technology can be implemented by Business Analysts without knowledge of coding thus compressing the automation implementation time scales to weeks as opposed to years. Our technology adapts to the clients existing data structures without having to change client’s existing systems thus eliminating years of IT effort and huge expenses. |
