Client’s Pain Points

  • Lack of a proper Document Management System
  • High number of pending charges with delays in clearance and difficulty in tracking
  • Revenue loss due to inadequate manpower and other commercial coding software
  • Unable to meet the 24 hr TAT along with insufficient reporting issues

e4e Solution

  • Implemented a “Go Green” solution through CodED (e4e proprietary software), which eliminates printing of patient records
  • e4e asked for restricted access to the Hospital database to retrieve patient information and incorporated Web Scan Log (WSL), a web based work order system with three way communication system, to clear the pending charges
  • Added additional FTEs and provided a cost effective software solution through CodED
  • CodED simplified the process, increased the productivity and provided customized reports

The Results

  • With access to Hospital data & WSL we are now able to acquire additional information which has reduced pending claims from 2.5% to 0.5%
  • The client found CodED extremely cost effective. It eliminated the manual charge process which resulted in improved resource utilization at client’s end
  • The TAT was brought down from 24 hr to 18 hr. CodED provides various customized reports that help in production & revenue analysis
