K.B. Chandrasekhar ("Chandra") co-founded and is Chairman of e4e Inc., a global technology holding company and full-service operating enterprise. In addition to his leadership role in e4e, Chandra is also a co-founder, CEO, and Chairman of Jamcracker, Inc., an on-demand software company.

Serving since 1998 on the Board of Directors for Aztec Software and Technology Services Limited, a publicly traded company in the Bombay Stock Exchange, Chandra was appointed Chairman in 2004. He is actively involved in assisting entrepreneurs and is currently associated with more than 20 projects in which he has invested.

In 1994, Chandra identified the potential of the Internet and founded Exodus Communications. The company went public in March of 1998 in one of the most successful IPO's of 1998, and in 1999 Chandra was honored as the Ernst & Young Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year.

Seeing the need for research and development in the areas of information sciences and life sciences, the AU-KBC Research Centre (Anna University - K.B. Chandrasekhar Research Centre) was set up in 1999 at the Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) campus of Anna University, as a collaborative venture between Anna University, Chennai (Madras), and the K.B. Chandrasekhar Family Foundation.

Chandra started his first entrepreneurial venture in 1992 with Fouress, Inc., a network software design and development firm with clients including Sun Microsystems, Adaptec, Toshiba, and Lockheed. Within two years, Fouress was a highly profitable company with sales of $1 million per year.

In 1990, Chandra moved to the United States as country manager for Rolta India, Ltd., where he was responsible for business development, marketing, and software consulting services. Chandra began his career in 1983 at Wipro, an Indian information technology company, as a customer support engineer. During his seven years with the company, he advanced through various sales, marketing, and support functions including building highly available networks for satellite applications and managing marketing for its European clients.

Chandra was born and raised in Chennai, India and holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Anna University.

Deepak Kamra has been a venture capitalist for nearly 20 years - identifying innovative companies that disrupt the status quo to become leaders in their fields. After an 11-year career growing technology startups into successful global leaders, Deepak joined Canaan Partners in 1991 and is focused on investments in digital media and software. Deepak led Canaan's early investment in DoubleClick, the Internet's first and leading online advertising solution; Match.com, the most popular dating site worldwide; and ON24, the leader in webcasting and virtual events. He also invested in voice-over-IP infrastructure company Acme Packet, which became one of the top-ten performing IPOs of 2006, and SuccessFactors, one of the most successful IPOs in 2007.

Deepak has been quoted in publications such as Bloomberg, The Silicon Valley Business Journal, Fox Business News, and The Deal, and speaks frequently at industry events, including The Harvard VC and PE Conference, TiECon, the Global India Venture Capital Association Conference, and Venture Summit Silicon Valley.

Deepak led Canaan's investments in, and currently sits on the boards of, technology-driven global companies such as e4e, a global business services company; Groundwork OpenSource, the leader in commercial open source systems and network management software; ON24, the global leader of webcasting and video communications solutions; TweetPhoto, a real-time media sharing platform for the social web; Zmanda, world's leading provider of open source backup and recovery software; and Zoosk, the largest social dating network in the world. He also directed Canaan's investments in AllBusiness.com (Acquired by NBCi), Bharat Matrimony, Concord Communications (acquired by CA), Impulse! Buy Network (acquired by Inktomi/Yahoo!), iPrint.com (acquired by MadeToOrder.com), Latitude Communications (acquired by Cisco), PriorityCall Management (acquired by LHS), Recourse Technologies (acquired by Symantec), and SalesLogix (acquired by The Sage Group). Recognizing early the global nature of venture capital, Deepak initiated Canaan's investments in the India market starting in 2001.

Before joining Canaan, Deepak was a key member of the startup team at Aspect Communications, helping lead the pioneer in call center technologies to a successful IPO in 1990. He has also held leadership roles at telecommunications companies like ROLM Corp. and TRW Datacomm International.

Deepak received a BA from Carleton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In his spare time, he is involved in several microfinance initiatives to spur economic growth in developing nations and currently serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee at Deutsche Bank's Global Microfinance Consortium. He was included on the Forbes Midas List in 2008 and 2009, a prominent list ranking the best dealmakers in technology and the 2009 AlwaysOn Venture Capital 100 which highlights the one hundred individuals who have backed the most profitable winners in the last four years. He currently serves on the Board of the National Venture Capital Association.

 

Bill Melton has been an entrepreneur and investor in the high-tech industry for over 30 years. He founded VeriFone, Inc., the transaction automation company that made credit authorization terminals ubiquitous on retail merchant counters in 1981. From 1991 to 1999, Bill was an early investor in and board member of America Online. Additionally, Bill was the initial funder of Transaction Network Systems (TNS), founder and CEO of CyberCash, and an initial funder of other high tech companies including Prio (sold to Infospace Inc.) and Maxager Technology. Bill is currently an active investor and board member of several early stage venture capital companies. He holds a Master's degree in Asian Studies and Chinese philosophy.

Steve Peck brings over 25 years of experience in driving strategic business transformation in global companies. Steve's expertise in global technologies derives from senior executive positions at SAP and Axon Americas. Steve was President and CEO of Axon Americas, where in 2008, he led his region to 48% year over year growth before the company was acquired by HCL Technologies in an all-cash transaction of $800m. Prior to Axon, Steve held senior executive positions at SAP, where he was Senior Vice President, Global Partner and Ecosystem Group in the Americas and Asia Pacific Japan (AAPJ), and President of SAP Public Services, Inc. Steve also served on the SAP AAPJ CEO Council and on the Board of Directors for SAP Government and Support Services, Inc. Earlier in his career, Steve served in sales and executive positions at PeopleSoft, Adaytum and ADP.

Steve serves on the Board of Directors of SAVO based in Chicago, the Nimrod Group based in the United Kingdom and Compass Inc., based in San Francisco. Steve is also on the Board of Visitors of Towson University located near Baltimore, MD and was appointed as the university's first ever CEO-in-Residence in 2009.

Steve is a prominent speaker at partner, industry and company events. Among his most notable appearances, he served on a nationally televised homeland security panel with former DHS Secretary Tom Ridge and a CNBC hosted forum on Global Technology Trends. Steve is also active in numerous charitable organizations, including serving as a strategic advisor to the Ernie Els Center of Excellence to battle autism and on the executive committee for the Washington DC Leukemia and Lymphoma Society annual ball.

 

Dr. Sridhar Mitta, co-founder of e4e India brings extraordinary technological and strategic depth to e4e. His ability to see the big picture and to help others identify and understand strategic issues, is at the heart of his own success, and key to the success of those he assists.

For over 30 years, Sridhar has been an internationally recognized expert in the management of Research and Development in Information Technology. He was the founder and CEO of Santa Clara, California based EnThink Inc. an intellectual property design and licensing start-up for semiconductor building blocks for Internet Appliances. He was involved with Wipro Limited since its inception in 1980 and played a key role in Wipro achieving technology leadership. As its Chief Technology Officer and the head of Wipro's Global R&D he spearheaded strategies which transformed the captive business unit into a profit center. He pioneered global delivery of outsourced product development services to technology majors such as Intel Corporation, Cisco Systems, Lucent Technologies, and Sun Microsystems. Wipro became the highest valued company in India during his tenure. Sridhar began his career with Electronics Corporation of India, Ltd., where he was responsible for the development of computer systems for defense and space applications. He is also President of The IndUs Entrepreneurs (TiE), Bangalore Chapter and serves in several Boards of companies located in the United States and India.

Sridhar holds a PhD and MS from Oklahoma State University; an MS from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur; and an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering from Andhra University, India. He is a senior member of IEEE and Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering.

Bhaskar Menon is e4e’s CEO & President, based in e4e’s Headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. Bhaskar is a seasoned senior executive with over two decades of experience with global multi-nationals, including MphasiS Corp., Citibank and Merrill Lynch. He has worked in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States in information technology & business process outsourcing, internet technologies & electronic distribution platforms, international private banking, and asset management & capital markets.

Bhaskar was the co-founding team member and investor of MphasiS Corp., where he has played key executive roles including that of COO, Global Head of Sales & Marketing and ultimately as President of BPO until 2006. MphasiS was the seventh largest publicly-listed Indian IT & BPO company prior to its acquisition by EDS in 2006 for a market capitalization of $750 million.
